1. Princess Aurora – Also known as Briar Rose when in hiding. A young Princess, beautiful, friendly and likeable also as beautiful on the inside as out. Should be well able to interact with comedy characters and also carry off a romantic scene or two. (Singer)

2. Prince Philip – Our hero, handsome and strong, he is likeable and very brave, should be well able to interact with comedy characters and also carry off a romantic scene or two. (Singer)

3. Joxer – The Court Jester – A fun and silly character who is there to engage with the audience and lead the story along. He is our narrator, friend and is high energy comedy gold.

4. Nurse Nelly Numb-bum – She is Prince Philips nanny or nursemaid, she is the dame, a big, brash, loud, funny, character, accent open to interpetation, could be Wexford or English or something different. (Singer)

5. King Hubert – Prince Philip’s father, the traditional Panto Baron or King. A pompus, extravegant, old major type character, very toffee and blustery gentleman. “What, What” and all that. Will be the focus of Nurse Nelly’s romantic attentions.(Singer)

6. Maleficent – The Evil Fairy – She is a nasty piece of work, very evil and intimidating, strong and in command, she must be very serious some times but be able to deal with comedy situations also, she has quite the temper. (Singer)

7. Flora – The Red Fairy – The leader of our fairy trio. A strong organised character. High energy and quick to action. The three fairies are a team who must conect and bounce off each other. They are high energy, comedy cartoony characters. (Singer)

8. Fauna – The Green Fairy – She is a very happy, very laidback a little slow to the party a little clueless, but very lovable. (Singer)

9. Merryweather – The Blue Fairy – A bit of a worrier and a fuss pot, often looks at the negitive side and is quick to panic. Very large hearted and loves Aurora like a daughter. (Singer)

10. Vivian – The Evil Fairy’s henchman – He works as part of a baddie comedy double act with his brother he is the leader as he is slightly more intelligent than his brother. They speak with broken English or a foreign accent, they are spies. Very childish and stupid.

11. Victor – The Evil Fairy’s other henchman – As his brother he is an overgrown child. These two must work well together as the baddies comedy relief. Broken English, foreign accent needed.

12. Bradley – The Big Bad Wolf – Yes the famous big bad wolf from fairy book fame, shows up and it turns out he is not so bad. In fact he is completely misunderstood and is in fact a big softie, who turns out to be a great friend to our heroes. A comedy accent here, something soft and funny, he is a complete coward.

13. King Stefan – Aurora’s father only in first and last scenes. He is modelled on Basil Fawlty (Fawlty Towers), Funny over the top English, arguing with his wife and getting into a fuss.

14. Queen Clara – Aurora’s mother only in first and last scenes. She is modelled on Sybil Fawlty maybe a bit nicer, funny female part to bounce off her bundling husband, is lovely to everyone accept her husband.

15-21. The Trolls – The Evil Fairy has an army of scary trolls who work as a comedy team to do her evil bidding and cause general mayhem. Fun parts for adults to be involved.
